Overall Review: While I do love Android as a platform, the OS is simply not optimized enough to provide a super smooth experience on low end phones. The current one I'm use will suffice, but it's just not as good as the app I was using on Android. I use my phone for music exclusively when I'm on the go and I was disappointed by the selection of music apps, but I am just being picky. I love this phone.Ĭons: The app store leaves a lot to be desired, but it is getting better. It is very snappy, the OS is easy to get used to, you can use MicroSD cards up to 64gb, the screen is decent, and I haven't ran into any problems with it. Needless to say, this phone exceeded my expectations.
I was extremely hesitant about getting a Windows phone, but I did not want another cheap Android phone and, as a college student, I didn't have a large budget. I tried out one of those Chinese knock-off Android phones and that was an even worse experience (terrible screen, laggy, etc.).Īt that point, I just wanted a phone that works and works well. I purchased the Galaxy S2 as my first smart phone several years ago and, after it prematurely died on me, it left a bad taste in my mouth in regards to buying expensive smart phones. Pros: I needed an inexpensive smart phone to use for calls, texts, and basic internet browsing without being unbearingly laggy.
